Semën Urkachan talks about hunting snow sheep

“It brings luck when you see snow sheep droppings. Then the leader of the hunting group will say: ‘Well, who will go up there tomorrow?’ And they discuss among themselves who goes where. You can hardly fool the snow sheep in your own way, because they must be outwitted. Snow sheep are very alert and their leaders have better eyes than binoculars. They watch all day from above what is happening around them below. Our father always said: ‘Spare the female animals, because they will reproduce in the future. Even if you are hungry, remember they have their own life too. They are living beings like you and me.’”
