Ivan Yaganov reports on dog transports along the coast

"Rechuschka, Pytkagarnyk below Rekinniki, from there I saw them in old times coming with dog sled teams. They carried heavy loads with their dogs. They used twelve dogs for this. Ten loaded dog sleds were traveling this way to Palana. They always delivered mail and passengers this way. People also visited each other using reindeer sled teams. But to Palana, they only traveled with dogs, twelve harnessed dogs, carrying heavy loads."
