Anatol Donkan talks about the Sky Rider figure
“This figure I made represents a bear. According to the stories of my ancestors, I come from the kinship group of bears. It is said that once there was a bear who shed its fur and became a human. He slept with a woman, and they had children. Thus, the bear became the ancestor of my family. That is why this is a Duente figure. This bear is also equipped with wings, and one can fly on it just like on the amba (tiger). When the shaman then flies down again on a kori and hears the sound of the drum below, he knows to end his flight accordingly.” (Video in progress)
