Anastasia Lapsui comments on a water scoop
"For a larger or even a small boat used on tundra waters, there is a special kind of water scoop. Why do I think the object shown here is such a scoop? Look — it is quite wide and suitable for removing water that typically collects in the middle of the boat’s floor.
Sometimes, during a storm, water can splash in, or a small puddle may form after rain. With this scoop, the water can be removed, and the person sitting in the boat doesn’t even need to stand up. Another reason I believe this is a boat scoop is the long handle. Also, regular water scoops would usually be deeper than this one." (Video in preparation)
