Man with tobacco box

"When people were traveling and paused for a short rest, they would drink tea and bring out a special container of lemishina for a shared smoke break. These containers, called kolton, were made from reindeer antler and richly decorated with ornaments. After all, everyone was in some way an artist and proud of their designs. They would show each other their handiwork. Not only the kolton, but also the runners of sleds and other wooden tools were decorated with carvings and patterns."
